SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

All business plan submissions must include the following:

• Student's name(s)
• Email address(es)
• Contact number(s), so that we can promptly notify finalists.
• Copy of the plan on disk, via email, or uploaded to this site (to allow us to forward plans to judges in an
• efficient and timely manor.)

RULES & REGULATIONS

1. Applicants must be enrolled full-time in a Secondary School in Ontario or equivalent (i.e. alternative
schools, home schooled, etc.)

2. Applicants who are doing High School Equivalency (i.e. returning "mature" students" and/or are enrolled by correspondence are ineligible to enter the BPC.

3. There is no age restriction on the entrants as long as they are enrolled full-time in a secondary school.

4. Applicants are able to use the same plan for the Summer Company Program as for the BPC and vice-versa.

5. Students, who have placed Regionally or Provincially, cannot in the subsequent year apply to the Business Plan Competition.

6. All plans must involve a business idea that is wholly original and based on the independent thinking of the applicant(s). Duplicating or copying an already existing/recognized business or franchise will not be allowed.

7. At the local, regional and provincial level, the judges' decision is final.

8. Unless the student has won locally, he/she cannot advance to the regional/provincial judging round.

9. Group submissions are limited to three (3) students per plan.

10. Students who have submitted a non-winning plan previously, may revise the plan and resubmit it. The plan cannot have placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the local competition.
